Reese Witherspoon Confirms the Obvious: She’s Expecting
Actress Reese Witherspoon is pregnant! As if her baby bump weren’t proof enough, the Oscar winner confirmed the news while in Chicago on Saturday to accept the Gene Siskel Film Center’s Renaissance Award.
Showered with compliments on the red carpet, the 36-year-old told reporters, “Thanks, but frankly I’m feeling very round tonight.”
The mom-to-be confessed she was hoping to steer clear of some Chicago staples like the signature deep-dish pizza. “It’s not easy. I’m always feeling like I’d like to eat everything in sight!”
Reese and her new hubby, Jim Toth, who will welcome a little one in late summer or early fall, aren’t revealing the baby’s gender just yet.
Until the stork delivery, Witherspoon will continue shooting her new film, “Devil’s Knot,” in Atlanta with co-star Colin Firth, she told Chicago Sun-times’ Bill Zwecker. “After I finish that, I’m going to take a little time off — and go have a baby.”
Reese has two children with first husband Ryan Phillippe; Ava, 12, and Deacon, 8.
