Rihanna To Design Collection For River Island!

Rihanna said, “I’ve been wanting to design my own collection for some time. River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British, family run business also really appealed to me. I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I’m looking forward to working with them and creating something really special.” Ohmuhgawd our minds are about to explode. We don’t know too much about collab JUST yet, but we do know that her capsule collection will launch in 2013. Time to start saving up!
This isn’t Rihanna’s first time around the designer block—she’s created two capsule collections for Armani, but this seems like her first take at a full collection that doesn’t involve mostly denim and tees, and we are SO. EXCITED. We had an inkling RiRi was up to something when she was spotted at River Island’s headquarters earlier this year (note: We swear on our LIVES that we actually said out loud, “OMG IS RIHANNA DOING A COLLAB WITH RIVER ISLAND?!” *curtsies*), and we can’t wait to see what goodies she has in store for us. But can we just say that River Island is TOTALLY the perfect brand for the London-obsessed singer? They are the just the right mix of trendy statement pieces, killer wardrobe staples, and super fun street wear. Eep, we can’t wait!
